Nellie S. (Furgason) Joyner, 90 of Newaygo, died Thursday, November 27, 2008 at Transitional Health Services near Fremont. She was born Nellie Susan Burleson in Macon, Michigan, the daughter of Mabel (Miller) and Lilburn Burleson on March 29, 1918. She married Thomas Joyner in 1974 in Toledo, Ohio and he preceded her in death in 1981.

Stella Marie Knieper, 87, of Clinton died Monday, November 24, 2008 in Ann Arbor, Michigan. She was born December 10, 1920 in Deerfield, Michigan the daughter of Dale and Susie (Iott) Diver. Stella married Aloysius Paul Knieper on October 12, 1940; he preceded her in death on January 30, 1996.

Alta J. Herman of Holiday, FL, formerly of Clinton, died Sunday, November 16, 2008. She was 84 years old.
Alta was born October 18, 1924 to Myron "Pete" Dermyer and Gladys (Packard) Dermyer. She married Robert T. Herman on March 31, 1944. They shared 60 wonderful years together before his death on March 6, 2005. Alta is a member of the United Church of Christ.

She was born February 6, 1942 in Adrian, the daughter of Gerald and Gertrude (Badgley) Roberts. She married Joseph Pergolizzi of New York; with whom she shared forty years of marriage.

Billy Hue Moffett, age 75 of Tecumseh, died at his home Thursday, November 6, 2008. He was born February 16, 1933 in Tallulah Falls, Georgia, the son of Earl E. and Roselean C. (Turpen) Moffitt. He married Henrietta Donahoo January 30, 1955.

Theodore R. "Ted" Herrst, 78, of Tecumseh died peacefully Monday, November 3, 2008 at home with his family by his side. He was born February 9, 1930 in Hancock County, Ohio, the son of Henry C. and Georgia (Wisely) Fruth. On October 10, 1952 he was married to Susan Rodriguez and she survives.

Victor Eugene (Tim) Shannon, age 87, died Sunday, October 19, 2008, at Morningview Transitional Care Center in Maryville, TN. He was born in 1921 in Kirksville, MO, the son of Dr. Frank W. Shannon and Eva Mae Kaiser Shannon, both of whom are deceased. He had one sister and two brothers, all deceased.
