Robert E. Hathcock

Robert W. Hathcock, 59, of Temperance, passed away Monday, January 11, 2010 , at home surrounded by his family. Robert was born on October 29, 1950 in Detroit, the son of Robert and Delois (Turner) Hathcock. He married Patricia Mitchell in January, 1989 and she survives.
Robert worked for 31 years as a supervisor at GM Powertrain in Toledo, OH. He was an avid golfer and member of the Fraternal Order of Elks in Maumee, OH. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
In addition to his wife, Robert is survived by two sons, Martin of Minneapolis, MN and Robert of Shelby Township; one stepson, Michael Lemay of Temperance; two stepdaughters, Kelly (Dan) Stahl of Tecumseh and Michele (David DeGrandchamp) Lemay of Ann Arbor; one brother, Edward (Carol) Hathcock of Romulus, MI; one sister, Patricia Gillespie of Redford, MI and four grandchildren, Tyler DeGrandchamp, Bobby, Brooklynn and Shea Hathcock, and his beloved dog, Nikki. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Friday, January 15, 2010 at 2 PM at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church with Rev. Father Daniel Wheeler officiating. The family will receive friends at the Church from noon until the time of the service. Rite of Committal will follow at Brookside Cemetery in Tecumseh. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mercy Memorial Hospice of Monroe, 725 N. Monroe Street, Monroe, MI 48162.
