Aurora "Gloria" Escott

Aurora "Gloria" Escott, age 86, of Clinton, died Monday, January 4, 2010. She was born January 15, 1923 in Brazil, the daughter of Antonia and Elza (De Souza) Araujo. She married Richard Escott on March 16, 1948 and he survives.
Gloria lived most of her life in the Clinton area.
In addition to her husband, Gloria is survived by her sister, Lydia Souza of Tavaras, FL; sister, Marlene and brother Waldy of Brazil; sisters-in-law, Ruth Green of Tecumseh and Rena (Herb) Davis of Fairview, OH; brothers-in-law, Ron (Lichen) Escott of Saline and Robert (Asocko) Escott of Junction City, KS; and several nieces and nephews and many close friends. She was preceded in death by her parents. Gloria will b e greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
At her request, cremation has taken place. Inurnment will be at Riverside Cemetery, Clinton. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lenawee County Humane Society.
